Chateau des Avenieres
Well, what a treat this was, lunch at the beautiful Chateau des Avenieres. I’ve visited the chateau a few times for dinner and a Sunday lunch but this was my first week-day lunchtime experience. Once again I was treated to the most wonderful food in truly elegant surroundings with stunning views.

The oak panelled dining rooms are luxurious as well as feeling open and light because of the wonderful large windows looking out at the views. An elegant terrace leading from the dining room is a wonderful place to dine in the summer. There is an air of formality mixed with a good ambience in the dining rooms. The dining rooms are made up of three rooms that can either be all open or left closed to give a more intimate feel and good when they are not so busy or have private parties. There is a wonderful library with a gorgeous large stone fireplace. The service is top quality and unobtrusive yet friendly. The food is outstanding, the style is gastronomic; french with a modern twist. On the menu are normally only 2 choices and everything is freshly prepared and beautifully presented.

I booked and enjoyed these meals at my own expense and this is my opinion of my personal experiences at The Chateau des Avenieres
