Vina Annapurna, Les Gets

Now we have another new gastro restaurant in Les Gets! Vina Annapurna which opened at the end of the winter ski season 2018. It’s open for summer too and I got my chance to try it! The restaurant scene in Les Gets continues to evolve in a good way and the Vina Annapurna is a great addition.
The interior of the Vina Annapurna has a modern Savoyard warm and welcoming feel and I imagine in the winter will create a really good ambience. There is a great casual sofa seating area down one side.

Menu du Jour
I went to try their menu du jour and at €17.50 this was a great value lunch with salad and a dessert, a glass of wine and coffee! Everything was homemade or ‘fait maison’ as we say here in France, cooked beautifully and presented really well. We had lunch outdoors on their shaded terrace.
Lunch was a Thai inspired salmon served with noodles, fresh crunchy stir-fry vegetables and a good salad. The dessert was a delicious Tiramisu. The food was cooked perfectly and presented really well. The staff were attentive and friendly.

Les Jeudis Jazz!
On a Thursday evening from 19:00 during summer they have a live Jazz band and I went along…what a great atmosphere and fun evening. We enjoyed drinks and a selection of entrées from the menu while listening to some great jazz! Once again I found the waiting staff very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. A selection of Iberican meats, a Goats Cheese and Tomato Terrine and Buffalo Mozzarella with tomatoes and pesto.

Love the decor, perfect balance between comfort / tradition and a modern aesthetic. The menu du jour seems like a rea steal, and love the international influences, I know the Thai salmon will have called out to you!
The menu du jour price is excellent value and you’re right enjoying Thai flavours in the French Alps a real treat!
