Marché de Noël 2019 – Haute Savoie, Savoie, Rhone-Alpes
Here is my roundup of a few Christmas markets going on around The Haute Savoie, Savoie, Rhone Alpes and Genevois regions this winter. As I find more Marches de Noël, I’ll add them to this list, but if you know of any I should add please let me know in the comments below.
Marché de Noël Annecy

Le Marché de Noël in Annecy in the old town around the church is open daily from the 22nd November 2019 – 5th January 2020. Opens at 11am – 8pm (Sunday – Wednesday) until 9pm thurdays and 9.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays

Le Village des Alpes and the ice skating rink – Place Francois de Menthon are open daily from the 22nd November 2019 – 5th January 2020. Opens at 11am – 9pm (Sunday – Thursday) and until 9.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays
The Village des Artisans at the Courier Centre is open every day from the 22nd November to the 28th December
Check the timings on their website as these may vary on holidays
Normally in Annecy for the duration of the Christmas festivities, there is an amazing light show on the front of The Mairie. We hope that this continues this year but sadly last week the Mairie in Annecy suffered a devastating fire. So keep an eye out for news and updates.

Aix Les Bains
From the 30th November 2019 – 5th January 2020 visit the Winter Village in the Square Alfred Boucher. From 14th – 24th December The Villages des Enfants in Place Carnot. The Grande Parade is on Saturday 21st December in the centre of the town which is followed by a fireworks display at Place Maurice Mollard.


Find the magic of Christmas with “C’est Casinoël”, from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd December 2019 at the Casino Grand cercle in the Victoria Lounge.
About forty exhibitors-artisans-creators will be there for your pleasure. Art crafts, local products, fashion accessories, original gift ideas.
Abondance – Marché de Noël

Saturday 23rd November from 2pm to 6pm and Sunday 24th November from 10am to 6pm in Abondance
Throughout the weekend, some sixty exhibitors will introduce you to their craft creations: Christmas decorations, lamps, wood paintings, craft jewellery, wood carving and turning, toys and baby creations, patchwork, Savoyard pottery, ceramics, wooden doves and other Christmas creations…shrimps, oysters, mulled wine, Christmas tea, tartiflette, hot chocolate, onion soup, pancakes, hot chestnuts, homemade cakes, cookies…

Albertville – Marche de Noël

Friday 7th from 2pm – 8pm and Saturday 8th December from 9am – 6pm at Chemin des Maraîchers, Albertville 73 – Savoie
Noël in Chambery
From the 23rd November 2019 – 5th January 2020 daily at the Place Saint Léger, in the heart of the old quarter of Chambery there will be over 40 chalets. A festive atmosphere with mouth-watering fare to suit all tastes.
Free events are organised for the duration of the Christmas market: Santa’s grotto, shows, concerts, choirs…

Marché de Noël Cruseilles
7th and 8th December at the Gymnase des Ebeaux in Cruseilles. The Pere Noël is arriving by helicopter at 3:45pm on Saturday!

Evian
Le Fabuleux Village ou la Legende des Flottins
13th December – 5th January 2020

A fantastic alternative Christmas market with so many activities and events. A floating wooden village with amazing sculptures. This is a market well worth visiting.

Les Marchés de Noël – Grenoble
From 22 November to 24 December 2019

The Christmas Markets are located in the heart of Grenoble. Village of Santa Claus, parades, animations and free concerts on the big stage of the place Victor Hugo will delight young and old for a month. More details on their website
Lyon
One of my favourite cities in France and this market will be well worth a visit. To wander the streets of Lyon, visit a traditional Bouchon or one of the many fabulous restaurants. Walk along the rivers Saone and Rhone, visit the cathedral just a few of the great things to explore in this city.
Le Marche de Noël de Lyon is on from Saturday 23rd November until Tuesday 24th December open every day.

The village consists of traditional wooden cabins selling local food and drinks and offering special Christmas shopping in a traditional Swiss yuletide setting.

The shops in Carouge will be open for the four Sundays before Christmas.
