At My Table workshops and events
Well, what a great fun day out I had at the Atelier of At My Table near Bonne. I joined a vegetarian cookery workshop run by Tamsin and Michelle from Bon App based in Morzine, followed by a delicious lunch.

We arrived at the beautiful venue of At My Table very close to Bonne which is only about 20 minutes from Geneva and 40 minutes from Annecy and were welcomed by Vivian, the creator of At My Table. It was wonderful to meet like-minded people ready to enjoy a fun foodie day out. We enjoyed homemade cookies and delicious flavoured waters while we chatted and were introduced to each other.

Vegetarian Cookery Workshop
Our menu for the day was all vegetarian, with some interesting dishes. This was a part hands-on, part demonstrated cookery workshop which worked really well. Tamsin and Michelle discussed ingredients, ideas and gave us tips and hints along the way.

Making Arancini Balls
So first up were stuffed arancini balls. These can be made with left over risotto! We had 3 fillings to choose from or why not add all 3 into your ball. Tamsin showed us how to stuff and roll our balls and the best order in which to coat them, ready for deep frying.
Next for preparation were the gorgeous little plum and frangipane tartlets. Michelle talked us through making frangipane and then we got to work assembling and decorating our tart with a great selection of colourful, local plums. The group got very creative with their plum design toppings!
Fun making pesto
Then onto pesto making – this was interesting as Michelle discussed with us various different ideas of ingredients that work well in pesto apart from the classic basil and pine nut combination. We tried walnut and sage, parsley, lemon and garlic and various other herb combinations.

Creating an interesting, colourful layered salad, which was delicious came next, chargrilling sliced vegetables on the bbq before marinading them in a dressing. The decorated crostini were a great idea to serve with the chilled soup we enjoyed. Picking up tips along the way about growing our own pea shoots and baby leaves.
Lunchtime - At My Table
Then lunch – after a quick transformation of the atelier, Vivian decorated the table beautifully, the attention to detail was amazing and her creativity at using and up-cycling various items for decoration was wonderful.
I really enjoyed this whole experience of a hands on style cookery workshop. I loved spending the morning cooking and lunchtime eating and getting to know the group and I’d definitely do this again.
These cookery workshops would make great team building days for businesses and fun times for groups of friends. The workshops can be tailored to your personal likes. Vivian is planning to run other styles of creative workshops including floristry and baking. The At My Table venue is also available to use for private parties and celebrations. In fact, the next day At My Table was hosting a 60th Afternoon Tea party.
Bon App – Tamsin and Michelle are based in Morzine and have been offering private catering for 10 years. As well as offering cookery workshops and demonstrations, they cater weddings, events and offer private chef services in chalets.
