Wild Beets Kitchen, Les Gets

Nestled in amongst all that melted cheese in the wonderful resort of Les Gets it is a refreshing change to find the ‘healthy option’. Les Gets is not short of great restaurants to sample the Savoyard specialities and great gourmet cuisine, but one thing it did lack, in my opinion, was something completely different…Enter Wild Beets Kitchen…

One Night in Sarlat

Sarlat, what a gorgeous medieval town.  I had time to enjoy a quick stopover in Sarlat la Caneda on my latest road trip from the Haute Savoie to the beautiful South West region of France.  I’ve been wanting to visit for a while and these beautiful cobbled streets with their tall old stone buildings didn’t disappoint. I stayed at Le Glacier and my room which was huge was No.1 looking out over the square – Place de Liberté.

Les Cocottes, Christian Constant

Les Cocottes by Christian Constant is conveniently situated at The Casino on the border of Switzerland and France just outside Saint Julien-en-Genevois.  It is open 7 days a week and has easy parking.  So, they are the practical reasons … The real reason is that this restaurant serves great food at good prices in a really good modern, light and spacious space with a brasserie style.  From May to September the outdoor terrace which offers shade and faces the Jura is a very convivial place to dine.  Et voila so many reasons to give it a try!
